Most people gamble at some point in their lives, and many people gamble for recreation. Gambling becomes a problem when:
- It interferes with school, work, or relationships
- People need to gamble more and more to get the same feeling
- It causes financial difficulties
- People go back to get even or win back their losses (chasing)

Beverly is a provider through the California Office of Problem Gambling Program (CalGETS), offering specialized therapy for people with gambling problems and their family members.
You may be eligible for free therapy through CPGTSP if you are someone who has a problem with gambling, or if you are a partner, spouse, parent, child, other family member, roommate, friend, business partner, or anyone else who is affected by problem gambling.
